Denson, a graduate of Trinity International University (TIU) in Deerfield, Ill., embarks on her fourth season as assistant women's basketball coach at Point University in 2017-18.


As a senior player for the women's basketball team at TIU, she was named All-Chicagoland Conference second team.  In the 2011-12 season, she also ranked in the top 25 in the NAIA Division II for 3-point field goal percentage and the tp 50 in 3-point field goals made per game.  Denson helped lead the Trojans to reach the 2011 NCCAA National Championship Tournament.


Before TIU, Denson attended Chattanooga State Community College in Chattanooga State University.  She played two years for the Tigers and was known for her three-point shooting.  She went on to graduate with honors from CSCC.


Denson began her coaching career as a student assistant while finishing up her degree at Trinity International University.  After her graduation, she moved into coaching for Full Package, Inc., a traveling AAU basketball team in Highland Park, Ill.  She coached third through eighth-grade girls and also served as a basketball trainer for the organization.  In 2013-2014, Denson was the assistant coach at Stephenson High School (Ill.) where she helped lead the Lady Jaguars to the Elite Eight in the 5-A region.  She also worked for the Chicago Sky of the WNBA as an Inside Sales Representative during the 2013 season.


Denson is a native of Stone Mountain, Ga., and graduated from Stephenson High School (Ga.) in 2008, where she played with and against some of the nation's top Division I recruited players.  She was listed as having one of the top 3-point percentages in Dekalb County in 2006-2007. In 2008, and she helped lead her team to win the 5A State Basketball Championship.
