Strickland, a 6-foot and 228 pound junior from Opelika, Ala., is ranked as the No. 8 NAIA Division I punter in yards per attempt with 42.30.

 

On the season he has recorded 27 punts through five games giving him a total of 1,141 punting yards. His average of longest punt per game equal out to 57.4 yards, with his longest punt from scrimmage totalling 75 yards. 

 

Strickland was selected to the 2014 First-Team USA College Football NAIA Preseason All-American Team and was awarded All-NCCAA First-Team honors twice, during his freshman and sophomore seasons. 

 

Along with his duties as the go-to punter, he also leads the charge as Point's kickoff specialist. 

 

Strickland and the Skyhawks return to action Saturday, Oct. 11, against NCAA Division II Alderson-Broaddus in Philippi, W. Va., at 12 p.m. ET.
