Head Coach - 3rd Season
Alma Mater: Trinity Christian College

Lenarz begins his third year as Point University head men's soccer coach, the Skyhawks' third head coach in their program history.  His teams have won 14, lost 20 and tied three matches during his first two years in West Point.  Prior to coming to Piont, Lenarz coached men's soccer for four seasons (16-53-3) at Arizona Christian University in Phoenix from 2011-2014.


Through 14 years of head coaching through 2016, Lenarz has compiled 109 wins, 154 losses and 11 ties, including three wins over Top-25 NAIA teams, a fifth-place finish in the NCCAA Tournament (2002) and a berth in the semifinals of the NAIA Southeast Region (2006).


Before ACU, Lenarz served as head coach for Southern Wesleyan University (2004-07), where his teams won 42, lost 38 and tied two.  He also coached for two seasons at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois from 2002-04 (19-20-3), including a 16-6-1 record in 2002, and also coached Reinhardt College (Ga.) fior two seasons in 1999 and 2000 (18-23-1).  He also coached women’s soccer at Trinity Christian in 1998, leading the team to a 7-11-1 record.


A graduate of Trinity Christian College with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Physical Education, Lenarz was a standout men's soccer player.  He earned numerous accolaides including 1996 NCCAA National Player of the Year, three-time NCCAA All-American and Scholar Athlete, two-time NSCAA Midwest Region team member.  Most recently he was inducted into Trinity Christian College Athletic Hall of Fame.


Lenarz graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1999 with a Master's degree in Sports Management.  He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Trinity Law School in 2011.


Lenarz and his wife of 19 years, Jennifer, have two children: son Josiah (13), daughter Jordan (12).

Assistant Coach - 3rd Season
Alma Mater: Dallas Baptist University

Jon Callahan was hired as an assistant men's soccer coach for Point University on Jan. 15, 2016.  Callahan joined the Skyhawk staff for what will be his second stint working alongside Coach Lenarz.  From 2011 to 2014, he coached at Arizona Christian University, where he served as assistant men's soccer coach with primary responsibilities for training the Firestorm goalkeepers and another two seasons as the women's head soccer coach.  

Prior to that, Callahan coached the women's team at his alma mater, Dallas Baptist University, from 2007 through 2011. In addition, he has served as a college staff coach for the Soccerplus Goalkeeper School. He has also coached in the Rush Soccer Club and at Phoenix Christian High School.

Callahan competed for Dallas Baptist soccer as a goalkeeper in 2004 and 2005, and earned team Most Valuable Player honors as a sophomore in 2005. He set school records for lowest goals-against average in a season in each season at DBU before the program was disbanded. He then played another year of Division II soccer before returning to DBU and transitioning into his coaching role.

Callahan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and also possesses a Master's Degree in Kinesiology, both from Dallas Baptist University.  He married his bride, Hannah, in August, 2017.
