Head Coach - 3rd Season

Sean Feeley begins his third season as the head coach of the Point University men's lacrosse team in 2018.  Point went 5-7 overall and 2-4 in AAC matches during Feeley's first season as head coach and followed up with an 8-7 season in 2016.  Feeley coached the Skyhawks into their first AAC Tournament, and Point upset seventh-ranked University of the Cumberlands in a tournament semifinal and lost to Reinhardt in the AAC championship match ever.

 

Feeley came to the Skyhawks in June 2015, after spending one year as men's and women's assistant lacrosse coach at Emmanuel College (Ga.), where he primarily worked with the defenders and on face-offs.  

  

Before Emmanuel, Feeley founded the Augusta Patriots Lacrosse Club in 2012, and served as the squad's head coach.  The Patriots are the only high school lacrosse travel team in Augusta, Ga. He helped guide his team to the IMG National Tournament in 2013, where they finished fourth overall.

 

Prior to his time with the Augusta Patriots, he served as Lakeside High School's varsity assistant and junior varsity head coach.

 

Feeley also served as head coach of U-11 Dirty Birds travel team in Atlanta, Ga. in 2015, and worked as the Trilogy Lacrosse Camp Coach during the summer of 2014 and 2015, served as assistant coach of the Rome Gladiators Youth Lacrosse team from 2010 through 2012, and worked as lacrosse coach at the YMCA in Augusta during the summers from 2009-2013.  Feeley is a certified U,S, Lacrosse coach.

 

As a player, Feeley was a midfielder and defender at Shorter University for two seasons (2011-12). Following his last year at Shorter, he was selected to play for the United States of America Athletes International (USAAI) Men's Lacrosse team in Berlin, Germany in June 2012, where he helped his squad finish ninth overall in the Berlin Open tournament.

 

In high school, Feeley played midfielder for Lakeside High School from 2006-09.  He was team captain as a senior and received the Christine Festa Memorial Scholarship for Character and Integrity.

 

Feeley is a 2013 graduate of Georgia Regents University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology (Cum Laude).  In 2015, he graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master's degree in sport management and policy.

Donte Phillips began his collegiate coaching career as an assistant coach for Point’s men’s lacrosse in October, 2016.  He also played lacrosse for Point for four seasons (2013-16).  He assists head coach Sean Feely, for whom he played in 2016, working mainly with Point's defenders.

 

Phillips graduated from Point University in May, 2016 with a degree in Criminal Justice and is currently working on a Masters of Science in Criminal Justice: Public Administration at Liberty University (Va.).
