Men's Cross Country - Sat, Nov. 9, 2013

The 2013 Men's cross country season concluded Saturday morning at Fort Bluff Camp in Dayton Tennessee as the Skyhawks finished in 9th place in the talented AAC. Leading the way for the men as he has done all season long was freshman Jordon Dunwoody in a time of 27:47. Finishing right behind Dunwoody was freshmen Leonard Mason who ran the 8000 meters in 28:10. Rounding out the top 5 was Dezmond Skipper (28:50), Jorge Hernandez (28:53 and Lucas Jensen (29:12). Finishing right behind the top 5 was Eliseo Magallon (29:16) and Aaron Lang in a time of 29:24. Of the 7 runners that completed the race, 5 ran their personal best time.

"I am very pleased with the season our men had this year. They worked very hard all season. The first race of the season our top 5 average was 31 minutes. Today our top 5 average was a school record 28:30. To knock 2 1/2 minutes off your team average is a tremendous accomplishment. All 9 of our men are underclassmen and return next season as 6 of them our freshmen. I think they have seen that if they work hard, they can become as good a runner as they want to be" commented head coach Mike Caldwell.
