The Point University men placed 5 runners in the top 15 of a field of 4 teams as they raced to a second place finish at the Darton Invitational. Freshman Jordan Dunwoody was the first Skyhawk to cross the line in a time of 30:18. Not far behind Dunwoody was sophomore Eliseo Magallon in a time of 30:30. Rounding out the top 5 was Dezmond Skipper (31:07 12th overall), Leonard Scott (31:11 13th overall) and Luke Jensen (31:14 14th overall). Closely behind the top 5 finishers was Leonard Mason (31:52), Jorge Hernandez (32:41), Aaron Lang (33:58) and Michael Medford (DNS).

"We are a young team so this was a good race for us to get our feet wet and learn a little bit about the 8K distance. Our guys ran smart today, now they just have to get faster," commented Coach Caldwell.

The Skyhawks will be back in action on September 14th when they travel to the University of West Florida for the Gulf Coast Stampede.
