Kati Williams, a top runner at Pike County High School has signed a National Letter of Intent to run with the Skyhawk Women's Cross Country Team. Williams, who has a personal best in cross country of 22:18 in the 5K and a 2:53 in the 800 meters on the track will be a valuable runner for the Skyhawks.

"Kati is exactly what we are looking for in a student-athlete at Point. She is a solid student academically, driven by her faith and she wants to be a better runner. She will be a tremendous asset to our team," commented Coach Caldwell.

Asked why she decided on Point, Williams replied, "I decided to attend Point because after a lot of prayer, and looking at other schools, I really felt that as a student at Point, I would be able to succeed academically, athletically, and spiritually. When I visited Point for the first time, the atmosphere not only with the team, but with all the students and staff I came in contact with, was something I knew I wanted to be a part of."

Williams is hoping to major in biblical studies or counseling at Point.
