Shelby Biddle, a senior distance runner at Luella High School in Locust Grove, Georgia, has signed a letter of intent to run at Point University next fall. Biddle, who has ran personal bests of 21:54 for the 5K, 13:08 for 2 miles, 6:04 for the mile and 2:31 for the half mile, will be a key member of the lady Skyhawks team for the next four years. Legendary coach and ultra-marathon runner, Richard Westbrook, commented, "Shelby is a very hard worker, dedicated runner and a real good person. I have had the pleasure of coaching her the past six years and she will do great things in college." Biddle will be joining a team that in it's first season scoring as a team was able to finish 2nd overall in the talented Appalachian Athletic Conference. Coach Mike Caldwell says, "We are so pleased to have Shelby join our University. She is a solid student and runner and will be a tremendous addition to our team. I am excited to watch her grow as a runner and a person". Best of luck Shelby!
