Point women's soccer suffered its sixth shutout loss of the season at TMU Wednesday afternoon, 1-0.

CLEVELAND, Ga.   The Truett McConnell University Bears (8-4-1; 6-1-0 AAC) scored one second-half goal and outshot the visiting Point University Skyhawks (4-9-0; 2-4-0 AAC), 18-2, in a 1-0 Appalachian Athletic Conference women's soccer shutout victory, Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the TMU Soccer Complex in Cleveland, Ga.  


Point only managed to get off two shots in the contest with both coming in the first half and did not have a shot-on-goal attempt during the contest.  


TMU totaled 18 total shots in the match, one of which would prove to be the game winner off the foot of forward Megan McCall at 61:04 to give the Bears a 1-0 lead.  Point was held scoreless in the match and suffered its sixth shutout loss of the season, 1-0.


Junior goalkeeper Rachel Ash (Douglasville, GA) started and played all 90 minutes of the match and allowed one goal and made three saves.  TMU goalie Ashlyn Walloch started in-goal for the Bears and recorded her fifth shutout of the season, allowing no goals and facing no opponent shots-on-goal in 90 minutes.
