MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. – The Milligan College Buffaloes (8-1-2; 4-0-2 AAC) defeated the visiting Point University Skyhawks (4-8-0; 2-3-0 AAC), 5-1, in Saturday, Oct. 7 Appalachian Athletic Conference women's soccer action in Milligan College, Tenn.  


Milligan used four first-half goals and one second-half goal on its way to defeating the Skyhawks, 5-1.


Point's only goal came in the second half when freshman forward Vanessa Lara (Dalton, GA) found the back of the net at 78:13, assisted by junior midfielder Jessica Torres (Manati, Puerto Rico), and junior midfielder Jasmine Marquez (Savannah, GA).


Point's junior goalkeeper Rachel Ash (Douglasville, GA) started and played the first half of the match and allowed four goals and made one save, and reserve sophomore keeper Martha Mormeneo (Buford, GA) started and played the second half, allowing one goal while making one save.
