The Point men's soccer team was defeated in conference play on the road by Reinhardt University, 5-0.

WALESKA, Ga.  The Reinhardt University Eagles (5-3-1; 4-0-0 AAC) used one first-half goal, four second-half goals and allowed no goals to blank the visiting Point University Skyhawks (6-3-1; 0-3-0 AAC), 5-0 in Wednesday, September 27 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) men's soccer action at University Stadium in Waleska, Ga.  


Reinhardt scored its first goal 24:43 into the first half and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.  The Eagles added four more unanswered goals in the second half and held Point scoreless during the match to take a shutout victory over the Skyhawks, 5-0.


The Skyhawks got off 15 shots, six on goal and had two corner kicks, and the Eagles totaled 14 shots, eight on goal with two corner kicks.


Point goalkeeper Ned Avies (Rochester, N.Y.) started and played the entire match, allowing five goals and making three saves, and Reinhardt goalkeeper Torge Wiedenroth started and played the entire match for the Eagles, allowing no goals and made six saves.
