WEST POINT, Ga. – Point University head men's soccer coach Jonathan Lenarz has added midfielder Alan Bayon from Shaw High School in Columbus, Ga., to his 2017-18 squad.

"Alan is a quality midfielder and local product who we first saw when his CFC Redstar team played against the Skyhawks' reserve team last fall," commented Coach Lenarz.  "Alan and fellow Point commit Bryce Jankiewicz were strong leaders on the CFC team which won the Division 2 State Cup championship.  Bayon is very comfortable with the ball and has a strong creative sense.  With a bit of time to adjust to the college game, he should have a great career at Point."

Bayon earned All Bi-City first team honors for three consecutive seasons at Shaw High School, where he was coached by Andrew Oropeza.

Bayon commented on why he chose Point University as the place where he will continue his education and competitive soccer career, "This is where I can improve as a student and as a soccer player."
