WEST POINT, Ga. – Point University women's golfers Courtney Lowery (JR/Greenville, GA), Jenna Dawn (SR/Alexandria, Ky.) and Lena Lemieux (SR/Phenix City, Ala.) have all been named to the 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete Team by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).  A total of 174 NAIA women's golf student-athletes earned selection to the list.


In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or Sports Information Director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved an academic standing of junior or higher.


Lowery was Point's top team finisher in each of the nine team tournaments that it competed in this season and is currently competing as an individual in the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.  Dawn has six second-place team finishes and two third-place team finishes this season with an 84.61 stroke average per round in 18 total rounds and Lemieux has one second-place team finish, five third-place team finishes and wrapped up the season with an 85.88 stroke average per round in 16 total rounds.
