WEST POINT, Ga. – Point University head men's soccer coach Jonathan Lenarz has added defender Bryce Jankiewicz from Northside High School in Columbus, Ga., to his 2017-18 squad.

"In Bryce, Point gets a much-needed additional left-footed defender," commented Coach Lenarz.  "He is steady and composed.  We are really pleased to get another quality player from Northside High School and the Columbus Football Club Red Star."

Son of Stephanie Jankiewicz of Columbus, Ga., Bryce won letters for four seasons of boys' soccer at Northside High School and his team's Best Defensive Player Award and helped his team win a Bi-City Championship.  He also played club soccer for the CFC Red Star team and helped his team win multiple tournament championships.

Jankiewicz explained why he chose Point as the place where he will continue his education and competitive soccer career, "I chose Point University to be close to home.  I have friends that attend Point, and I want to be part of the soccer program."
