WEST POINT, Ga. – Point University women's swimming coach Kaymee Kelly has added Brittany Morris from Luella High School in Locust Grove, Georgia to her 2017-18 squad.

"Brittany is a great new addition to our program," commented Coach Kelly.  "Brittany is a great teammate, and I know she will fit in with our team.  Brittany will excel here at Point, and I am excited to see her grow."

Daughter of Brian and Jodi Morris of Locust Grove, Georgia, Brittany swims freestyle and individual medley events for her high school swimming team and is coached by Jamie Henck.  She ranked third on her team in points scored for the 2016-17 season and holds school records for the 100-yard freestyle and the 200 freestyle and the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Morris also is active in service to her church, McDonough Christian Church.  She volunteers in the children's ministry and serves in the church's coffee shop and also babysits numerous children of church members.

Morris commented on why she chose Point as the place where she will continue her education and competitive swimming career, "I chose Point University because I wanted a change from my busy everyday schedule to focus completely on God, school, and swimming.  I love that Point University is in a small tight-knit community where everybody knows each other."
