WEST POINT, Ga. –The Point University men's tennis team has received votes for the NAIA National Top 25 Coaches' Poll for the first time in its four-year team history.

Coach Simpson commented, "We know that numbers and rankings don't win championships but it is confirmation for our men that the work they are putting in is being noticed. This team has brought Point on the national map but we know we still have work before us."

The Skyhawks, coached by Chad Simpson, received three votes and is tied for 34th in the nation.  Defending NAIA champion Georgia Gwinnett College received 14 first-place votes and ranks number one again with a 19-0 record.  Three of Point's Appalachian Athletics Conference rivals, Reinhardt University (Ga.), SCAD-Atlanta and Tennessee Wesleyan University, ranked number 15, 18 and 23 respectively.
