HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Point University (7-10) was defeated by Coker College (11-3), 15-0, in Wednesday, April 12 non-conference collegiate women's lacrosse action in Hartsville, S.C.  With this game, the Skyhawks finished their regular season with a 7-10 overall record and a 4-4 Appalachian Athletic Conference record.


Division II opponent Coker outscored Point 12-0 in the first half and 3-0 during the second half enroute to a 15-0 victory over the Skyhawks on Wednesday afternoon.


Point starting goalie Emma Gross (FR/St. Augustine, FL) played the first 25:39 and allowed nine goals and made four saves, and goalie Abagail Smith (JR/Cumming, GA) allowed six goals and saved four shots in 24:20 played.  Coker's starting goalkeeper Cassie Williams played the entire game and allowed no goals and made one save.


The Skyhawks scored no goals, attempted four shots, picked up 15 ground balls, controlled five draws, committed 26 turnovers, and committed 15 fouls.  Coker scored 15 goals, attempted 29 shots, scooped up 20 ground balls, controlled 12 draws, committed 14 turnovers, and committed eight fouls.


NEXT GAME:  Coached by Bryan Stanley, the Skyhawks compete next at the Appalachian Athletics Conference Championship Tournament, April 20-22, at Reinhardt University in Waleska, Ga.
