WILMORE, Ky. – Point University (6-6; 4-2 AAC) defeated Asbury University (2-9; 1-4 AAC), 14-7, in Saturday, April 8 Appalachian Athletic Conference intercollegiate men's lacrosse action in Wilmore, Ky.  


Point got off to a quick start, scoring seven goals during the first quarter while holding Asbury scoreless.  Both teams netted three goals during the second quarter, and Point held a 10-3 lead going into halftime. 


Asbury outscored Point 2-1 during the third quarter of action, but the Skyhawks added three more goals to their total in the fourth quarter enroute to securing the victory in their final conference game of the regular season, 14-7.


Starting goalie Harry Dismukes (FR/Spanish Fort, AL) allowed seven goals and saved 11 opponent shots, and Asbury starting goalie Austin Frerman allowed 14 goals and made 10 saves.


Attacker Najarri Whitehead (SR/Decatur, GA) led Point with four goals, midfielder Greg Wilson (SR/Augusta, GA) and attacker Joshua Gracia (Fleming Island, FL) each added three goals, attacker Chase Parker (FR/Lawrenceville, GA) added two goals and two assists, and defender Mitchell Daniel (JR/McDonough, GA) and midfielder Ranon Simonson (SO/St. Augustine, FL) each chipped in one goal.


NEXT GAME:  Coached by Sean Feeley, the Skyhawks complete their regular season with a home game against Georgia State's club team on Saturday, April 15 at 3 p.m. in West Point, Ga.  During halftime of the game, Point's senior players will honored.
