WEST POINT, Ga. – Point University (5-6; 3-2 AAC) was defeated by #3 Reinhardt University (10-1; 4-0 AAC), 19-1, in Saturday, April 1 Appalachian Athletic Conference intercollegiate men's lacrosse action at River Bowl Stadium in West Point, Ga.  


Point was held without a goal during the first half of the contest and trailed 7-0 at halftime.  Midfielder Ranon Simonson (SO/St. Augustine, FL) scored Point's lone goal of the game to prevent a shutout, but the Eagles added 12 more goals in the second half enroute to earning their tenth win of the season, 19-1.


Starting goalie Harry Dismukes (FR/Spanish Fort, AL) allowed 19 goals and saved 20 opponent shots, and Reinhardt starting goalie Austin Ambrose played the first three quarters and allowed one goal and made three saves.  Goalie Jacob Sammons played the final quarter for the Eagles and allowed no goals and made two saves.


Midfielder Greg Wilson (SR/Augusta, GA) totaled five shots; three on goal and collected two ground balls, and attacker Najarri Whitehead (SR/Decatur, GA) finished with two shots, one ground ball, and one caused turnover.  Defender Mitchell Daniel (JR/McDonough, GA) scooped up three ground balls and caused two turnovers.


NEXT GAME:  Coached by Sean Feeley, the Skyhawks travel to play Asbury University for their final AAC game of the regular season on Saturday, April 8, at 2 p.m., in Wilmore, Ky.
