WEST POINT, Ga. – Point University (2-9; 0-4 AAC) was shutout in a loss by Columbia College (5-3; 3-0 AAC), 11-0, in Wednesday, March 15 women's lacrosse action at River Bowl Stadium in West Point, Ga.


Point attempted 10 shots-on-goal in the game, but the Skyhawks were held scoreless by Columbia, who scored 11 goals on 24 shots-on-goal to earn the win Point, 11-0.

Point starting goalie Emma Gross (FR/St. Augustine, FL) played the entire first half and allowed six goals and made five saves in a losing effort, and second-half starting goalie Abagail Smith (JR/Cumming, GA) allowed five goals and saved eight shots.  The Koala's starting goalkeeper Diamond Brown played the entire game and allowed no goals and saved 10 shots.

Attacker Grace Beardsley (JR/Peachtree City, GA) led the Skyhawks with seven shot attempts and picked up two ground balls, and attacker Sable Hawkins (JR/Newnan, GA) attempted four shots and scooped up three ground balls.

Defender Kendra Blackstock scored a game-high three goals, midfielder Aaleeyah Brimmer added two goals, and six other Columbia players each added one goal.  

The Skyhawks scored no goals, attempted 18 shots, picked up 15 ground balls, controlled five draws, committed 16 turnovers, and committed 14 fouls.  The Koalas scored 11 goals, attempted 31 shots, scooped up 28 ground balls, controlled seven draws, committed 10 turnovers, and committed seven fouls.
