BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Point University (2-27; 1-19 AAC) lost a 104-66 contest to Union College (27-3; 20-0 AAC) in Saturday, Feb. 18 Appalachian Athletics Conference men's basketball action.  


Forward Andre Cinicola (SR/ Hampton, GA) scored a team-high 21 points and pulled down 15 boards to complete a double-double in his final regular-season collegiate game.  Forward Hakeem Winters (SO/ Cartersville, GA) threw in 17 points, two steals, one rebound, one assist, and one blocked shot.  Guard Joshua Tolbert (JR/Auburn, AL) scored 12 points, grabbed six rebounds, and guard C.J. Wilcox (SR/Mobile, AL) contributed 12 points, secured six rebounds, added five assists, and stole the ball one time in his final regular-season appearance for the Skyhawks.


Union was led in scoring by forward Gerrard Newby, who finished the night with a game-high 26 points, and also had nine boards, two blocks, two steals, and one assist.  Forward Jaylen Daniel added 18 points, four rebounds, three steals, two assists, and one block.  Forward Paul Stone and guard Sam Natt both finished with 12 points.


Point made 23-of-63 field goals in the game (.365), 7-of-25 three-pointers (.280) and 13-of-17 free throws (.765) and committed 20 turnovers and stole the ball from the Bulldogs eight times.  Union made 36-of-82 shots (.439), 15-of-38 three-pointers (.412), 17-of-23 free throws (.739), out-rebounded the Skyhawks, 56-35, committed 12 turnovers and stole the ball 12 times.
