COLUMBIA, S.C. – Point University (2-23; 1-15 AAC) lost a 104-70 decision to Allen University (10-14; 7-10 AAC) in Saturday, Feb. 4 Appalachian Athletics Conference men's basketball action.  


Three Skyhawks finished the game with double-digit points, led by guard Joshua Tolbert (SR/Mobile, AL) who finished the contest with 21 points and made three 3-pointers.  Forward Hakeem Winters (SO/Cartersville, GA) added 18 points, nine rebounds and one steal, and center Jay Shorts, Jr. (JR/Union Grove, GA) contributed 14 points and three boards.


Allen was led in scoring by center Brandon Moore who finished with 22 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, and one assist.  Guard Sherrod Wade chipped in 14 points, one assist and a steal.


Point made 23-of-55 field goals in the game (.418), 8-of-23 three-pointers (.348) and 16-of-23 free throws (.696) and committed 15 turnovers and stole the ball from the Yellowjackets two times.  Allen  made 46-of-76 shots (.605), 8-of-19 three-pointers (.421), 5-of-11 free throws (.455), out-rebounded the Skyhawks, 36-30, committed six turnovers and stole the ball 11 times.
