Junior Rebecca Guadiana represented Point University at NAIA Nationals for the third consecutive season.

ELSAH, Ill. –Point University's Rebecca Guadiana (JR/Oak View, CA), placed 271st overall among 334 total runners at the 37th Annual NAIA Women's Cross Country Championships on the North Farm Cross Country Course in Elsah, Ill., near St. Louis.


Guadiana (JR/Oak View, CA), who also qualified for the 2014 and 2015 NAIA National Meets, completed Saturday's national 5000-meter course with a time of 20:07.03.  Guadiana placed 247th in the 2015 NAIA Nationals with a time of 20:11.4, and 259th in the 2014 meet with a time of 20:42.30.  Guadiana also earned All-Conference second team honors this season, her second consecutive All-Conference award.


University of British Columbia (Canada) won the team championship with 98 points and placed its top four runners among the top 25.  Second-place Northwest Christian College scored 135 points and placed its top four among the first 30 runners, and third-place Biola University (Calif.) placed third with 166 points and placed its top four among the first 49 to cross the line.


Among Point's conference rivals, Milligan College (Tenn.) placed 15th with 413 points, and its top runner Hannah Segrave, the Appalachian Athletics Conference champion, placed second overall with a time of 17:08.75.  Aminat Olowora from Oklahoma City University won the individual title with a time of 16:24.28.  SCAD-Atlanta finished 16th in the team standings with 429 points, and SCAD's Greta Van Calcar placed 12th with a time of 17:34.43.
