HODGES, S.C. – Point University (10-20; 6-16 AAC) defeated Allen University (4-23, 0-20 AAC), 3-0, for its second win over the Yellow Jackets this season.  The Skyhawks won their final match of the 2016 season by scores of 25-15, 26-24 and 26-24.


Point finished with 34 kills with 12 attack errors in 114 total attacks (.193), 28 set assists, three service aces, 76 defensive digs and nine total blocks.  Right-side hitter Bellah DiLascio (SR/Homosassa, FL), who ranks second on the team with 240 kills this season (2.16 per set), led Point with nine kills in 24 attempts and one solo block and one assisted block, and middle hitter Charlotte Havrisik (FR/Riverside, CA), Point's kills leader with 293 for the season (2.76 per set), totaled eight kills and one solo block.  Outside hitter Laknea Malone (SO/Childersburg, AL) finished with five kills in 20 attempts and two assisted blocks, and middle hitter Danielle Garrett (SR/Conyers, GA), Point's blocks leader with 53 (0.74 per set), contributed five kills, two solo blocks and two assisted blocks.  Setter Julia Felix (FR/New Orleans, LA), Point's assists leader with 857 (7.45 per set), finished with four kills, 24 set assists, one solo block and 15 digs.


Defensive specialist Janice Morales (SR/Miami, FL), who leads with 37 service aces this season (0.33 per set), totaled a team-best 28 digs, two assists and one service ace, and defensive specialist Sydney Cooley (SR/Powder Springs, GA), Point's digs leader this season with 358 (3.65 per set), contributed 10 digs and one service ace, and libero Gabriana Nichols (JR/Pecos, TX), who ranks second on the team with 281 digs for the season (2.53 per set), added five digs.
