WEST POINT, Ga. - Point University women's cross country runner Becky Guadiana will travel to Charlotte, N.C. to compete in the 36th Annual NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championships on Saturday, Nov. 21. The 5K championship race will begin at 11:30 a.m. at McAlpine Creek Park.


Guadiana qualified for the National Championship race after finishing in 10th place at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships with a 5K time of 20:17.73. This will be the second consecutive appearance at the  NAIA Nationals for the sophomore from Oak View, Calif. Last year Guadiana finished in 194th place out of 336 runners with a time of 20:42.


The 2015 championship is made up of 37 teams along with 84 at-large individual qualifiers, including Guadiana. 


Guadiana has had a stellar 2015 season, leading the Skyhawks in all six of the teams's races and earning two top-five overall finishes. For her performance this season, Guadiana was awared AAC All-Conference honors.
