WEST POINT, Ga. - Point University men's cross country runner Tyler Agan has been named to the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) 2015 All-Freshman team, as announced by the conference office.

Agan is one of seven athletes to be named to the AAC All-Freshman Team. The Locust Grove, Ga. native paced the Skyhawks in all six of the team's races this season.

Agan had one top-10 finish and four top-25 finishes in his inaugural season with the Skyhawks. At the AAC Championships this past Saturday, Agan ran the second fastest 8K in school history at 27:16.26, to finish in 17th place overall in the 75-runner field. On October 2, the freshman took home ninth place at the SCAD Atlanta Invitational with a time of 29:10.38.

Agan improved his 8K time in ever race this season, going from 32:50.09 in his first 8K race down to just over 27 minutes in his final race.

Agan is the second Point men's cross country athlete to earn All-Freshman honors since the Skyhawks joined the AAC in 2011.
