KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Point University women's cross country team competed in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Championships Saturday morning in Knoxville, Tenn. at Victor Ashe Park.


Point took home ninth place out of 11 teams in the 5K conference race. Becky Guadiana paced the Skyhawks, finishing in 10th place in the 92-runner field with a time of 20:17.73, her fastest 5K time of the season. Savanah Hanna also finished in the top 20 for the Skyhawks, taking home 16th place with a time 21:10.58.


Shelby Garritson's time of 24:16.58 was good for 53rd place, while Aseantia Pullens and Lara McCaughey finished in 81st and 83rd place, respectively. Pullens ran her fastest 5K of the season, finishing in 27:41.34. Allison Mangham ran her first race of the season, crossing the finish line in 29:26.48.
