CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Point University women's cross country team competed at the Royals Challenge Friday afternoon in Charlotte, N.C.


Becky Guadiana led the Skyhawks in the 5K race at the McAlpine Creek Park, finishing 84th in the 206 runner field with a time of 20:23.1. Savanah Hanna finished next for Point, completing the race in a season-best time of 20:36.8, good for 101st place.   


Aseantia Pullens also turned in a season-best time, finishing in 27:45. Lara McCaughey competed in her first race of the season, completing the 5K course in 27:22.9. Shelby Garritson took home 181st place with a time of 23:18.1.


As a team, the Skyhawks finished 22nd in a competitive field of 23 teams. Aquinas College won the team crown while Sarah Biehl of Shawnee State finished with the top individual time.


Next Up:

The Skyhawks will travel to Hardeeville, S.C. on Saturday, Oct. 24 for the Sand Shark Invitational.
