High School in Alexander City Alabama has signed a letter of intent to run for the Skyhawks in the fall of 2012.

Hanna, a 5 time Alabama State qualifier in cross country and team captain her senior year will be counted on immediately to score for the Lady Skyhawks. This past season, Hanna ran a 20:26 at Jesse Owens, 20:30 at the Southeast Showdown, 20:54 at the Tiger Classic, 20:34 at the Section 2 Meet and a 20:51 at the Alabama State Championships. She also competed in the Alabama State Track Meet last spring.

"Savannah will be vital to our team's success the next four years, but more importantly, she is a good student and comes from a great Christian family and stand for the same values of the university," commented Head men's and women's cross country Coach Mike Caldwell.

Savannah is a member of Alexander City Methodist Church where her parents serve as youth ministers. Her Pastor was on hand for the signing stated, "Coach, you are getting a good one".

Coach Flanigan, who coached Savannah last year in Track stated, "Savannah is a coach's dream, she is a hard worker, dedicated athlete and she is not afraid to step up and be a leader".

Savannah turned down several Universities to attend Point and when asked why she choose Point she stated, "I love that it is a Christian University, I love that you minor in Biblical Studies and I want to be a part of a team that will push me to do my best".
