Men's Cross Country - Mon, Nov. 10, 2014

DAYTON, Tenn. -- The Point University men's cross country team concluded their season after finishing in 8th place at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships in the 10-team field.

Justin Braswell (FR/Davisboro, Ga.) led the Skyhawks as he did in all eight races this season. Braswell was also honored as the the 7th overall freshmen in the race and that put him on the all-freshmen team.

"Justin has worked hard all season and I am very proud of how he ran this year," head men's cross country coach Michael Caldwell said. "He is a talented runner and has a tremendous opportunity to keep getting better."

Rounding out the scoring for the men were Jacob Walters (FR/Kingwood, Texas), Leonard Scott (SO/Locust Grove, Ga.), Johnathan Hall (FR/Peachtree City, Ga.), AJ Taylor and Aaron Hargrove (FR/Lewis Center, Ohio).

"We only had seven men on the team this year," Caldwell said. "All the men are underclassmen so with them all coming back, and adding 4 more guys to the roster, I believe we will be one of the most improved teams in the state next fall."

The men will take a few weeks off and then resume their training for the distance track season beginning in February.
